Hay Tedder

A Hay Tedder is an attachment that allows the hay that has already been cut but not collected to be fluffed in advance before the process of hay making. The tedder is designed with smaller wheels holding an arm that is dragging a set of small wire tines that fluff the grass. The advantage of using the tedder is it allows the hay to dry nicer which improves the overall colour of the hay. A tedder was initially designed to be pulled behind a horse, but as technology has advanced there are new brands and styles of a tedder which are great attachments to have for tractors. Brands such as John Deere, Kuhn North America and New Holland manufacture different size hay tedders.
