Forage Harvester
A Forage Harvester is used to harvest forage plants to make silage, which is mainly used to feed livestock. Forage plants are known to be a combination of plant materials such as plant leaves, stems, corn and much more; they are cut up into smaller pieces and placed into a storage silo to be used for feeding afterwards. There are two models of a forage harvester, an attachment that is towed by a tractor and a self-propelled harvester. Depending on the size of the field one of the two options is more suitable for the land you have. Brands such as John Deere, New Holland and Case IH are known for both their self propelled and tractor towing style forage harvesters.
